My line of descent = father's & brother's name are both Peter Thatcher Leonard, we are direct descendants from Peter Thatcher, (tho I don't have a list of names at my fingertips). If any of you are descended thru the Leonards, in Taunton MA for a long while, we'd love to hear from you!

I am searching for any information regarding Romanzo Charles THATCHER's sister, Juliette (Julia) THATCHER. All I do know is that she married Phineas CONGDON and had at least one child, my g-g-grandfather, Lafayette.  Any info is welcome.

Subject: Jane THATCHER
Am hoping that you can help me. I can trace my line back to a Jane THATCHER, born March 17, 1725 in the Eastham, MA area, who married Job AVERY.  Records show that her father was Thomas THATCHER, born September 25, 1673, in the Massachusetts Bay Colony.  Her mother was Sarah RICH, born January 22, 1695/96 of Eastham, daughter of Richard RICH of that area.  I cannot find my Thomas's parents.  He was 23 years older than Sarah, and when he died there was some question as to who should raise Jane and her sister Elizabeth.  Through the "Rich Family Society" and a now deceased Julia Rich HOGAN, I received information that their Mother, Sarah RICH THATCHER, was for some reason, out of favor with the community, and there was a legal document that was written up by an Isaiah LEWIS that gave Rudolphus THATCHER the custody of the girls, and at the same time set up the descent on the THATCHER line by claiming that their father, Thomas, was the son of a Thomas THATCHER, who was the son of yet another Thomas.  I have tried to tie my Thomas (born 1673) to the Thomas (born 1650 died 1686), but published genealogies don't support that.  I feel that Jane's father must have been married before he married Sarah, and perhaps this wife has been left out of genealogies.  Anyway, I am stumped.  Do you have anything in your research that can help me?  Thank you.  Beverly Land, Parkville, MO

I am decended from Sarah Thatcher who married John B. Stevens of Bucks Co. Pa. in 1826.  I have never been able to find out who her parents were although she lists them in a census as coming from N.J.  She was born in 1792 and died in 1882 at the age of 90.  She is mentioned in Davis' "History of Bucks Co" Volume 3, on Page 600 under the biographical sketch of Robert Reed as she was the mother of Angeline V. Stevens who married Robert Reed.  If you know of anyone who is doing research on Thatchers in Philadelphia Co. or Bucks Co. Pa. would you kindly put me in touch with them.  Thank You.

Comments: Lots of work.  Many individuals out there are working on the descendents of Antony and Rev. Thomas THACHER of New England.  This will help.

Time: 1999-08-10 12:07:44 Comments:  Hi,...I am researching the THATCHER family in N.J..I am interested in finding the parents of my Greatgrandmother Sarah Thatcher STEVENS (1792-1882.  A census states that her parents and she were from N.J., but no names of her parents have ever appeared in any research that we have done.   She lived in Feasterville Pa. and married John B. STEVENS in 1826.  We believe she may have been the daughter of William THATCHER, Jr..(1758-1810) who died intestate.  He was the son of William THATCHER, Sr. and Margaret TAYLOR of Kingwood Twnshp. N.J.  Any direction that you could give would be greatly appreciated

Looking for my grandfather Robert PRIMMER's, father who's name was Stewart PRIMMER. I found a man named Forrest Primmer a German immigrant, married to a woman named Mary COOKS. They both were listed on the Creek Indian Freedom Roll in Muskogee OK. My grandpa's brother was Frank and his sisters were Ollie, Levonnia, Maggie and Jeanne. They all lived in Ruston LA.  The town was in Lincoln Parish on the 1900 census on line 41 sheet 54.  Please help me if you can! Thank you.
