Comments: I received and e-mail from blueiris12002@yahoo.com stating that "one NEAL married one of my Amelia CRADDOCKS (this e-mail is due to "cousin" Nancy Cleere's site). My ggggparents, came to us with @ least 3 sons, one was John Thomas Sr. NEAL. The other 2 brothers were doctors and one of them was named "Buck". I am trying to go back to Ulster, but am stuck here. I hope by getting the brothers information I can gather more on Conrad in order to get back to Ireland.

Comments: My gggg grandfather was Conrad NEAL (b abt 1790). His wife's name was Dicey. Their children were: Asa, Polly, William, John Thomas Sr., Nancy, John Harden, Joseph, Samuel, and George W. NEAL. Conrad was Scott Irish, and, with his Mother and Father, landed in Norfolk, VA and went to Danbury, NC (Stokes County). Some of the familty moved to Lee County, VA. His two brothers, one of which whose name was "Buck" became doctors. There is also a story where one of the brothers went out west and when he died left his place to Conrad. It is said that Conrad wouldn't accept it because he didn't earn it. Does anyone have a connection to this branch of the NEALs?

Comments: I believe that William NEAL had another son, Charles, that moved w/family to MO about 1820-1830. The name Pallis/Pallas is always a clue to the families--Charles even had a son with that name. Does anyone know what the significance of that name is? Charles' family settled in the Ralls/Pike, Audrain county area in MO. I believe he was the only one to go there. I also believe William NEAL had previously live in Lincoln Co. KY near the Harrrodsburg area and was associated with Benjamin LOGAN of Ft. Logan there back in the Daniel Boone days.
MAIN Surname(s) of interest: NEAL, would like to learn the surname of William's wife, Elizabeth.
